7 Things To Avoid When It Comes To Your Appearance
Turn Up!
Turn Up!
People say, you are addressed the way you are dressed, this is so true. Before leaving the comfort of your home be sure you don't offend people with anything unsightly!
When it comes to your appearance some things should be 'on'. You should always take a good look at yourself; even get a second opinion if you can before stepping out!
Apart from the fact that you are usually first addressed the way you are dressed, it is rude to be in people's face without giving a thought to your appearance. Like it is not fair to be in someone's space choking them all up in strong sweaty smell; thats just not right/fair.
First impression is key so by all means turn up and turn up great!
1. Wearing The Wrong Foundation
This mistake is common with ladies, almost like a rave at the moment, some ladies are so obsessed with being light skinned they picked foundation in a fairer shade instead of their colour! Wearing a light skinned foundation on dark skin will not make you lighter/finer/pefect, it makes you look tacky and abnormal; trust us. Stick to shades in your colour.
2. Poor Dental Hygiene
Be sure to care about your dentition because you will have to smile, talk/ generally open your mouth at a point in time and when you do you don't want people to cover their noses or just stare at those set of yellow/brown set of 'biters'! Be sure to brush twice daily and floss.
3. Facial Hair
Ladies, if you have facial hair please tame them, you don't want the stares that come with those. Men, pleaseeee trim your beard and generally get a clean shave otherwise keep them well groomed.
4. Dirty Nails
Never ever let your nails be dirty, even the thought of dirty unsightly nails is repulsive. Always keep your finger nails clean and well trimmed.
5. Dirty/wrinkled Clothing
Never go out in rumpled or dirty clothes and No, a quick visit to the mall doesnt justify you should! Anytime you are leaving the house put some clean decent clothes on!
6. Greasy Hair
Ladies be sure to moisturize and straighten or curl your hair before you leave the house but take it easy on the 'sheen'
7. Saggy Breasts
Always wear the right bra for any outfit you are wearing out. It is totally unacceptable for a lady to have boobs droopy- that is by far one of most attractive and embarrasing thing!

On the last episode, Veronica Ebie Odeka(the in house stylist) gave useful tips on how to look our best the next time one attends a red carpet event. Below are some of the tips;
· Ladies - what’s underneath matters a lot; ensure you wear proper underwear and a trusty pair of spanx because the camera flashes pick up everything, and inappropriate underwear can ruin an otherwise gorgeous dress.
· Draw a Line between Sexy and Slutty; Avoid showing too much skin with your dress.
· Don’t “overdo” your makeup; You may think that this is the time to go all-out with your makeup. Whatever you do, DON'T overdo. This is not the time to try something new, like the 12-inch fake eyelashes.
· Go for Some Killer Heels: Always wear a heel when venturing to a party. Platform heels are the easiest to walk in, but test them out in advance to make sure you can stand and walk in them comfortably.
· Whatever You Do, please Moisturize; Bare legs and arms call for moisturizers. Don’t step on that red carpet with ashy body-parts. It’s not appealing.
· Be Strategic with Jewellery; Don't overcrowd your neck, arms, and fingers with jewellery.
· There was a live call-in session on the show which allowed listeners to call in and share their opinions on this issue. You can also drop your comments and opinions here; you may never know who needs it.
· Don’t be left out, to be a part of Baileys Radio Show tune in this Friday by 8:00pm on the cool FM dial 96.9.
